Abdullah is the one with the best command of English in our team, and a fluent French speaker, too. He was born in Grozny at the times of the USSR, lived there in the 90s, worked for the Red Cross in Ingushetia, helping refugees. Abdullah comes from a Sufi family and can talk at length about the North Caucasian version of Sufism.
